Supreme Group believes that development projects and the environment can co-exist, as long as the right design and planning are done upfront, the project incorporates environmental and technical knowledge, and there is an effective monitoring of performance throughout the life of the project.
Before each project we hire reputable consultant firms to conduct full Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) including potential risks and effects on people, water, air and land. We operate in an environment of continuous and demonstrable improvement.
Through energy efficient natural gas turbines our projects will emit less than half the greenhouse gas emissions of the average LNG facility currently in operation.
We encourage renewable energy projects and are assisting Myanmar achieve more sustainable and environmentally friendly sources of energy.
Through our eco friendly water treatment and waste water treatment projects we are contributing to the environmental protection in Myanmar with our deep knowledge, long experience and outstanding technical expertise.
Deforestation in Myanmar has led to climate change, landslides, and deterioration of soil. To revert these effects, it is important to create forests and plantations with fast growing trees that are beneficial to the environment.
To tackle these issues, the Government has created the 2016-2026 Myanmar Reforestation and Rehabilitation Programme, where it aims to restore or reforest on Reserved Forest (RF) and Public Protected Forest (PPF) land. Supreme Biotech’s hardwood plantations are in line with these objectives, setting up forests with Acacia Hybrid, Acacia Mangium, Eucalyptus, Rubber, and Agarwood trees.
Supreme BioTech was awarded with Responsible Care® from Japan External Trade Organization and Myanmar Industries Association, for commitment to work together to continuously improve the health, safety and environmental performance of their products and processes, and so contribute to the sustainable development of local communities and of the society as a whole. Supreme BioTech also received the MCCC Golden Green Award for outstanding contributions toward a low-carbon economy that will mitigate the adverse effects of climate change, to protect the environment, and to help realize a greener world for tomorrow.
