Agriculture Sector
Agriculture is one of the most essential sectors in Myanmar. Agriculture accounts for about 30% of the country’s GDP, 25% of the country’s exports and is currently the leading employer in the economy.
As part of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement (IFOAM) group, we promote organic agriculture, provide practical solutions for agriculture challenges, and reduce environmental impacts through protecting soil fertility, biodiversity and water resources.
Awarded with Responsible Care® from Japan External Trade Organization and Myanmar Industries Association, for commitment to work together to continuously improve the health, safety and environmental performance of their products and processes, and so contribute to the sustainable development of local communities and of society as a whole.
